Gorran Haven is a truly remarkable part of Cornwall. An unspoilt coastal fishing village with traditional fishermen's cottages, it has two safe, sandy beaches protected by a quay. Found on the Roseland Peninsular (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), it is ideally situated to explore the Southwest Coast Path in both directions, as well as the much loved treasures of Cornwall like the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.
Kayaks, paddle boards and deckchairs can be hired during the summer months from Gorran Haven beach.
Gorran Haven has a beach cafe, fish and chip shop, bakers and convenience store as well as a hotel restaurant and bar open to non residents.
Gorran Haven
The fish and chip shop (The Haven Takeaway https://www.havenfishandchips) is open daily during school holidays and on Fridays evenings through the winter. But do check their website for exact opening times. Everything is cooked to order using local, delicious fish, and there are gluten free options.
Cakebreads is our local shop, post office, café and bar! In the summer months they put on live entertainment. They offer cooked breakfasts and other meals throughout the year, and an excellent variety of specialist gins at the bar.
Just as you step on the coast path there is a community owned cafe with stunning views and delicious homemade lunches and cakes.
The Llawnroc Hotel https://www.thellawnroc.co.uk/ and bar has an excellent restaurant and is just on the other side of the village (walking distance!). Check website for opening times as they shut during winter months. Further up in the next village of Gorran Churchtown, the Barley Sheaf is a more traditional pub, serving excellent quality food (https://www.thebarleysheafgorr).
